Who stays here and why

Greenford doesn't have Ealing's high street or Brentford's employer base, and that's largely the point: Greenford Quay, the one apartment building listed here, is priced for people who want a genuine base on the corridor without paying Ealing or Chiswick rates. It suits contractors on a budget, longer relocation stays where the nightly rate compounds over weeks or months, and anyone happy to be two Central line stops from Ealing Broadway rather than in the middle of it.

The Quay development itself is newer than most of the buildings further into town, with a waterside setting along the Grand Union Canal that's more attractive than the area's reputation as a purely practical stopover might suggest.

Transport and getting around

Greenford station runs both the Central line, direct into central London, and Great Western Railway suburban services, giving two distinct routes from one stop. By road, the A40 is close and Heathrow is about 30 minutes off-peak.

Perivale, one stop closer to town, and the redeveloped Greenford Quay waterside area are both within easy walking distance of the apartment, and there's a large Asda and retail park nearby for anything the immediate area doesn't cover.

Nearby areas

Ealing, two stops away on the Central line, is the obvious upgrade if budget allows and you want more choice of buildings and a busier high street on the doorstep.

Uxbridge, further west, is worth considering if Stockley Park or the airport corridor matters more than central London proximity — it's a different direction on the map, so worth checking the actual journey before assuming it's a simple alternative to Greenford.
